Astrodynamics, Navigation, and Machine Learning Engineer- Associate
At Advanced Space LLC,
Tyler works on low-thrust trajectory optimization and machine learning projects with partners like IARPA and NASA. His work there includes:
Evaluating different neural network architectures, including Transformers, Physics Informed Neural Nets, and Vision Transformers to design an autonomous spacecraft anomaly detection system
Built Reinforcement Learning environments to study autonomous spacecraft maneuver control in low Lunar orbits
Writing trajectory optimization tools to automate the generation of many revolution low-thrust spiral transfers between earth orbits
Publishing a technical paper on the use of neural networks for onboard spacecraft maneuver design presented at the International Astronautical Congress.
Contributing to proposals for both NASA and DoD projects as well as presenting technical progress reports
