Astrodynamics, Navigation, and Machine Learning Engineer- Associate

At Advanced Space LLC,

Tyler works on low-thrust trajectory optimization and machine learning projects with partners like IARPA and NASA. His work there includes:

  • Evaluating different neural network architectures, including Transformers, Physics Informed Neural Nets, and Vision Transformers to design an autonomous spacecraft anomaly detection system

  • Built Reinforcement Learning environments to study autonomous spacecraft maneuver control in low Lunar orbits

  • Writing trajectory optimization tools to automate the generation of many revolution low-thrust spiral transfers between earth orbits

  • Publishing a technical paper on the use of neural networks for onboard spacecraft maneuver design presented at the International Astronautical Congress.

  • Contributing to proposals for both NASA and DoD projects as well as presenting technical progress reports
